Located on the northern coast of Peru, Lambayeque is one of the country’s fastest-growing tourist destinations. Situated just 4.7 kilometers from Chiclayo and 13 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, it offers one of the best cuisines in Peru as well as beaches and historical museums. It’s sunny and very rich in culture.
“I have early memories of being in this city with my parents. One of the earliest was visiting the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum with my tio Tito. I’ve walked the beachs with my uncles, aunts and cousins from Chiclayo. And I’ve been able to enjoy the delicious food that my mom always told me about. My maternal grandfather also lived and died here. I never had the strongest relationship with him, but he meant a lot to my mom so I went with her to visit his grave. She always made it a priority to visit him in his final days until he finally passed away in 2021. She continues to check on him and leave him fresh flowers when she visits.”
