Located close by the northern coast of Perú, Lambayeque is one of the country’s fastest-growing tourist destinations. Situated almost 3 miles from Chiclayo and 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, it offers one of the best cuisines in Peru as well as historical museums.

“I have early memories of being in this city with my parents. One of the earliest was visiting the Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum with my tio Tito. I’ve walked the beaches with my uncles, aunts and cousins from Chiclayo, and I’ve been able to enjoy the delicious food that my mom always told me about. My maternal grandfather also lived and died here. I never had the strongest relationship with him, but he meant a lot to my mom. She always made it a priority to visit him in his final days until he finally passed away in 2021.”
