Playa Pimentel is the most famous beach in the Northwest region of Perú where many tourists go to visit. Alongside local vendors, restaurants, and shops, you will also see fishermen riding caballitos de totora, a small, woven reed vessel that has been used for over 3,000 years. Archaeological evidence actually suggests that this ancient watercraft is the world's first surfboard.

“Before I had a chance to enjoy the beaches in Lima, Playa Pimentel was one of the first beaches in Peru I was able to enjoy. The memories I;ve made here have been with all of my family that lives in Chiclayo. An hour long taxi drive from Chiclayo takes you here and it is well worth it.”
